UNIL Master’s Grants Scholarship for College


The grant Scholarship for College may not be used for any complementary studies required to enroll on the Master’s degree and may not be used for EMBAs or Masters of Advanced studies.

Amount and duration of the grant Details:

The amount of the grant Scholarship for College is CHF 1,600.- per month from 15 September to 15 July, for a duration not exceeding the regulation minimum period of the programme (according to the programme, one-and-a-half years or two years subject to deduction for paid placements or exempt semesters, if any). Abandonment of the programme results in suspension of the grant.

Required Details:

The Scholarship for College candidate must be the holder of a degree from a foreign university.

The qualification held by the candidate must be deemed equivalent to the UNIL Bachelor’s degree.

Selection Procedure Details:

Scholarship for College Candidates complete the “UNIL Master’s Grant” form and submit their application to the Office for socio-cultural affairs (SASC, Unicentre, University of Lausanne, CH-1015 Lausanne, info.sasc@unil.ch) by 15 December 2011 at the latest. The application is examined by the University Rectorate to determine whether the candidate is admissible. In the event of a positive decision, the application is forwarded by the SASC to the UNIL Faculty responsible for the Master’s on which the candidate wishes to be enrolled. The Scholarship for College Faculty selects applications and notifies the SASC of its opinion based on the candidate’s qualities, motivation and suitability for the Master’s programme. The SASC forwards shortlisted applications to the selection committee which will award grants to students meeting all criteria according to the available budget.

Lee Kuan Yew Fellowship Scholarship for College


Scholarship for College / grants on a competitive basis below the MPM candidates who have clearly demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities and are offered to recognize committed to public service. A scholarship / grant fully funds the training of the candidate in the Master in Public Management program.

By watching the
Scholarship for College / fellowship, not all prices, unless the nominee is merit will be awarded. In addition to meeting strict criteria for entry into the MPM program, all scholars / researchers also demonstrate the unique capability of education and professional honors.

Fellows / researchers can not simultaneously hold another scholarship, community, or the award without prior approval of the school.


There is no bond or obligation for the Fellow/Scholar to be employed by NUS or in Singapore.

Note 1: Each Fellowship provides for the following expenses:

* A monthly stipend throughout the period of the award
* A one-time book allowance
* A one-time settling-in allowance
* Shared housing
* Tuition, examination, health insurance and other approved fees
* Tuition fees and accommodation at partner university

PhD Scholarship for College Studentship Multiphoton Nano Markers

These nanoparticles/wires are made of niobate crystals and emit light through second?harmonic generation (SHG) rather than fluorescence. The interdisciplinary tasks of the project range from the synthesis and the optical characterization of the nanomaterials to their
combination with plasmonics effects and the applications in optofluidics devices.

We expect:
• a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Natural Sciences (ideally physics, material sciences or
biotechnology). Candidates about to obtain their degree are welcome to apply.
• strong interests for optics, nanotechnology and biotechnology.
• high motivation and interest in joining one of the interdisciplinary research areas of the JSMC
• creativity and interest in shaping your own thesis project
• an integrative and cooperative personality
• very good communication skills in English (the language of instruction at the JSMC)
